Job Overview:

  • Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the organization's computer systems and networks.
  • Primary goal is to ensure the reliability and efficiency of IT infrastructure to support business operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

System Maintenance:

  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Implement preventive maintenance to avoid system failures.

 

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical assistance to end-users, including hardware and software support.
  • Respond to and resolve IT support tickets and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and hardware.

 

Network Management:

  • Configure and maintain Network Infrastructure, including Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
  • Collaborate with network administrators to ensure seamless communication.

 

Security Management:

  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor for Security breaches and promptly respond to incidents.
  • Conduct regular Security Audits and Vulnerability Assessments.

 

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Create user guides and manuals for common issues and solutions.

 

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other IT professionals, including System Administrators, Network Engineers, and Software Developers.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical users to understand and address their needs.

 

Training:

  • Provide training to end-users on new systems, software, and technologies.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and share knowledge with the IT team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, 5 years Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a System Support Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, VM, Cloud, etc.) and Network Protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Security best practices and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Work Environment:

  • The Role may work in an office setting, providing support to employees either in person, over the phone, or through remote assistance. Availability for occasional after-hours support and participation in an on-call rotation may be required.
